“The hard part is not getting your body in shape. The hard part is getting your mind in shape.
My name is Nastasja Williams. I went from another gym box to LA Fitness after feeling embarrassed and ashamed after losing a lot of weight, only to gain it back a few months later. I was looking for a fresh start and LA Fitness was perfect. I trained here last year for my wedding and for my entire pregnancy until the day I gave birth. I think staying active helps with the quick 2.5 hour labor and delivery.
During pregnancy, even with working out and eating clean, I still gained 40 pounds. And my heaviest weight was 193 pounds.
Motivational Gym Quotes Better Than Protein
After giving birth, I was determined not only to “get my body back” but to feel better inside and out and set an example for my children. I practiced hard every day waking up at 4 am. In addition to being a full-time nurse practitioner, I am also a wife and mother of a teenage and newborn daughter.
I am proud to say that I am 6 months postpartum, down 67 pounds, and just competed in my NPC bikini competition. The outpouring of love from family, friends, co-workers, strangers and mothers after birth is overwhelming and humbling.
I am very compelled to share my story and let people know that anything is possible. I remember standing in the mirror a week after giving birth thinking it was never going to be possible.
The most rewarding moment came last week when my teenage daughter woke up at 4am and asked if she could join me at the gym and then said she had a great time and could do it again. Now this moment made the whole trip there worth it and I had the best workout ever.
Best Workout Quotes To Get You Motivated
My purpose in life is to raise and encourage the most important girls in my life – my daughters.
My fitness goal was initially to lose my pregnancy weight, then it changed to my ideal body weight which I am now over 4 pounds.
My fitness goal now is to maintain. We all know that it is easier to lose than to keep away. I try to set periodic goals for myself to prevent complacency. I always wanted to participate in a triathlon. I plan to train for all of these aspects at LA Fitness.
My advice would be that nothing worthwhile ever comes easy. There will be setbacks, setbacks and failures, but with hard work and perseverance, success is possible.

Meet Nastasja Williams, LAF member, mother, wife, and NPC bikini competitor, who has found fitness as a way to motivate and inspire her children and countless others. Janelle G. Gresham, or all her life, has struggled with weight. She used to make excuses that she was overweight because of big bones or bad metabolism, but this was not the case. It wasn’t that Jenelle was inactive—in fact, she was an athlete for most of her life. Although her weight frustrated her, it was never an issue until later in life. In 2015, Janelle’s blood pressure was a threshold for the need to take medication. She found herself struggling to get her seat belt on the plane. She recalls a time when a flight attendant offered her a seat belt extension before she had even tried to put on her seat belt. It was at that point that she knew enough was enough, and she wanted to do something about it.[Kimberly] inspires me with her knowledge, experience, and support for my success. I always look forward to our sessions – not only because they benefit my body, but also my mind and spirit. It continues to build my confidence and gives me the motivation I need to keep going, even when life throws you a few curveballs.
Like many others, Jenelle made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight. In February 2016, she joined a local LA fitness club and began seeing Pro Results® Master Trainer, Kimberly D. One of the most important things Janelle learned was to make working out part of her routine. She started working out 5 to 6 times a week, always in the morning because it helped her start her day on the right foot. In addition to working out, Jenelle began to think differently about food. She began to realize that to get the results she wanted, fitness and nutrition went hand in hand.
Awesome Fitness Quotes To Keep You Motivated
Since walking through the doors of LA Fitness for the first time two years ago, Jenelle has dropped 65 pounds. And keep it away! She is happy that now when she wears the seat belt of the plane, she has to raise it a little. While she has made great strides, she knows her journey continues. Work and stay
